The titan of tearout is coming back to the Pacific Northwest for three days on his Rage Room tour this week. Marauda will be performing The Showbox in Seattle on April 15th.
Marauda, formerly known as Mastadon, has helped to redefine the hardcore dubstep scene over the last eight years. In that time he has developed a trademark sound that can be roughly described as brutally percussive.
His first EP Malignant, released on Never Say Die’s Black Label in 2017, brought us groundbreaking songs that are still played out by other DJs to this day. Last year he released his first full length album titled Ascension Rite. This album is some of his best work yet, showcasing some of the biggest and darkest sounds imaginable, and proving that he has only begun to show us what he is capable of.
Supporting Marauda for this night of hardcore EDM is riddim DJ Versa. Versa exploded on to the scene a few years ago with his wildly popular single Welcome Tune and his first EP The Pit. His unique industrial sound design and classic riddim flows are a perfect fit for this lineup.
Along with Versa, Marauda will also be joined by DJ duo LouieJayxx. These two producers are well known for their incredible range of production styles and a pedal to the metal approach to sound design. Their latest EP Eternity is some of their best work yet, featuring melodic and deep intros colliding with massive basses and brutal breakdowns.
