There is no doubt that the Pacific Northwest is rich in culture. And, with the more recent legalizations, cannabis culture is now widely accepted and celebrated. And in celebration, the NW Harvest Fest is back for their second year to collectively embrace all the beauties of the Pacific: Music, Art, Nature, and Cannabis.
The NW Harvest Fest is a 2-day camp-out experience combining all things treasured in the Northwest. And with only 1 year under their belt, The NW Harvest Fest team is already turning heads and surpassing expectations in their upcoming return. With an artist line-up boasting a variety of indie, folk, rock and roll, electronic, hip hop, and reggae, the NW Harvest Fest successfully pulled together musical talents from local and international backgrounds, including Seattle’s own Staxx Brothers, and Jamaican-born Ky-Mani Marley, both featured below. Various art vendors will also be present, selling locally-made pieces and festival merchandise. Our Bellingham-based creative production team, Sensebellum, will also be returning to bring you a visual experience like never before. And to celebrate the freshly-legalized greenery, the Cannabis Cup will be held to compare and crown one lucky grower for the best strand in the competition. All in all, the NW Harvest Fest will be the warm welcoming of harvest season you won’t want to miss out on.

Here are a few of the NW Harvest Fest 2013 Artists to watch out for!
Born in Jamaica and now living in Miami, Ky-Mani Marley, son of Bob Marley, is out to keep the Rastafarian Movement alive and the reggae music flowing. Definitely a performance not to be missed, Ky-Mani is set to serve the Northwest a dose of freedom music that all listening ears will enjoy.
One of the most prized Northwest-grown groups today, the Staxx Brothers will perform their classic sound they refer to as “Hard Ass Soul.” Combining the original styling of rock and roll, hip hop, and funk, the 6-piece band is ready to rock the house and will have you grooving and moving all night long.
Pushing the limits and breaking boundaries, Galapagos is a sound unlike any other. With each of the four members contributing a unique musical background to the mix, their style of music is a modernized fusion of jazz, funk, progressive rock, and much more. Hailing from the tip of the northwest, this Bellingham quartet is sure to please your ears and open your mind to new, experimental sounds, and give your weekend away just the refreshing vibe you’ve been looking for.
The NW Harvest Festival is September 6th and 7th in Bow, Washington.
