Lil Texas brought the hardcore and hardstyle party to Trinity Nightclub last Thursday night in Seattle! Trinity is one of Seattle’s best nightclubs, and features regular artist bookings by White Rabbit Group, which also books artists for Supernova and Vue Lounge.
In Seattle, Trinity continues to host the hottest EDM artists!
Trinity features multiple rooms of dance floors: the main room is 18+ and the adjacent smaller Red Room only allows guests 21+. The two rooms allow you to change your pace for the night if the main room gets too rowdy or if you need a chiller vibe and a drink from the Red Room.
On this night, the Red Room was hosted by Pesky Penguin x Friends. Early in the night, there was plenty of space to walk around and fist pump without care. Leading up to 1am when Lil Texas took control of the DJ booth, finding a space to let loose without bumping into your neighbor was difficult. The bumping didn’t cause too much of a problem due to the good vibes all gathered to get down to some Texcore.
The openers DJ Libbi, Mutil8 HD, and Yosuf b2b Dionysus all played hard dance styles that were the perfect lead-up to Lil Texas’s 1-hour set that cycled through 60 songs with BPMs all exceeding 140. DJ Libbi is a local Seattle DJ whose name has been appearing on many different opening lineups throughout the city and plays a wide variety of EDM genres. Mutil8 HD, Yosuf, and Dionysus are hardstyle DJs who are touring with Lil Texas, and are up and coming in their own right.

Lil Texas did not disappoint!
Lil Texas, of course, was shirtless throughout his set of madness and emotion, backed by crazy visuals and striking a myriad of bodybuilding poses from the DJ booth. The king played all of our favorite songs by him, including Need You feat. Kayzo, Tarzan by Unicorn on Ketamine, and a few Darren Styles songs, much to our delight! Many in the club donned Lil Texas’s trademark look with a cowboy hat, and we fist pumped the night away until we were all too sweaty and hard of hearing from the deafening reverse bass and pipe-kick drums.
Lil Texas, aka Sam Barry, is from Dallas, Texas and has been active in the EDM scene since 2012. He did not start producing in the hardstyle genre until 2018 at his hard dance debut at the Basscon: Wasteland festival. Since then, Lil Texas has been on a fast-track to household icon and international superstar status. He even collaborated with the likes of Lady Gaga and Elton John in 2021! He is now one of the first names many think of when it comes to hardstyle in the United States, and we believe he is responsible for the increased interest and recent popularity.
Many DJs are now including elements of hardcore and hardstyle in their sets. For example, Alan Walker typically includes hardstyle remixes of his songs, like Play, Sing Me To Sleep, and Lost Control. Catch Lil Texas’s latest release, his Spring Hardcore 2023 Mix on SoundCloud or right below!
We were so grateful that Lil Texas returned to Seattle, where it seems that hardstyle is up and coming! Lil Texas is also on the rise, as he is set to perform at his 4th straight EDC in May. Later this year, we will also be able to catch him in Washington again as he will return for Excision’s Bass Canyon in August!
