If you haven’t heard of LICK yet, it’s time that you do.
Signed to Zeds Dead’s own record label, Deadbeats, LICK is the emerging bass music producer that we all need know and keep a close eye on. He is all about dark, high-intensity, and heavy-hitting productions and we are here for it!
The Arizona-native just delivered a remix of Wolfgang Gartner and Skrillex’s collaboration Devil’s Den. The original track was released back in 2011 as a part of Skrillex’s Grammy Award-winning Bangarang EP and has been a staple for Skrillex’s sets. LICK took the track and breathed new life to it. Instead of the original’s upbeat sound, we were gifted with a rendition that is slower, darker, and entirely characteristic to LICK’s signature sounds.
He was first featured on the Deadbeats Compilation (Volume 2). After that, he released his debut EP under the Deadbeats label, titled REVOLT. The two-track EP is a heavy-hitting true testament to his talent and style as an artist. His sound is dark, heavy, grimy, and definitely not for the faint of heart. From his remixes to his original work, the complexity of his sounds shows the producer’s clear vision and oh-so meticulous design and effort.
