Frank Ocean will not perform at Sasquatch! Music Festival as planned this year, citing “production delays beyond his control” as the main cause. Instead, three time Grammy nominee LCD Soundsystem will take the stage on May 26. It’s still unclear whether Ocean will perform at his other scheduled events, which include Hangout Festival on May 19th and a few other festivals both domestic and abroad. As of now, they still appear to be on.
LCD Soundsystem’s Al Doyle had a few comments on the lineup change:
Sasquatch! We're not here to repeal & replace Frank Ocean; I'd like to have seen him too… we just got asked to help out, so let's dance!

Srsly Frank Ocean's show at Brixton towards the end of his Channel Orange tour was incredible. Whole room singing and worshipping.

No artist likes to cancel, & I know it's a total fucken bummer when you don't get to see your main hero, but we'll play extra hard for you.

Sasquatch! and Hangout Fest are Ocean’s first dates since the artist’s dual album drop of both Blonde and Endless in August.
The same day the lineup substitution was announced, LCD Soundsystem released two new songs, Call the Police and American Dream, along with a lengthy Facebook post outlining details on their upcoming album. On Saturday, May 6, the group was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
