In this day and age of multi-genre festivals, we’re use to some pretty spread across lineups. Take this year’s Shambhala lineup for example, ranging all over the EDM spectrum.
This year, Laketown Shakedown, taking place in the Cowichan Valley in June, is one to behold.
Festival mainstays Stickybuds, Skiitour, Illvis Freshly and headliners DJ Nu-Mark of Jurassic 5, and Five Alarm Funk return for another year of fun under the sun at Laketown Ranch. Now here’s where things get interesting. The festival also features rap legend Snoop Dogg, alt-rockers Incubus, and even Shrek soundtrack favorites Smashmouth.
This venue was used for multi-day, genre specific festivals last year featuring Trooper, The Funk Hunters, Mat the Alien, and Dehli to Dublin.
This is insanity. Tickets are currently available. Be prepared to hold up some gin and juice, and proclaim that we’re all stars come June 28-30th!
