It’s been a full decade since the UK synthpop duo La Roux released their chart-topping, self-titled debut album. The album included the hit single Bulletproof, as well as other iconic tunes like In For The Kill and I’m Not Your Toy. La Roux’s catchy electronic records captured the attention of the underground EDM scene at the time and inspired countless remixes.
Most notably was the now-famous remix of In For The Kill by early dubstep pioneer Skream, and the remix for I’m Not Your Toy by none other than Nero. And now, La Roux is making another comeback, five years after the release of their sophomore album Trouble In Paradise!
It should be noted that La Roux is now a solo act being carried by lead singer Elly Jackson. After completely wiping out past social media posts, she started posting again as of September 24th. All posts thereafter have been teasing new work in progress. On Halloween, La Roux released a new single titled International Woman of Leisure accompanied by a music video and album announcement.
La Roux’s third album, titled Supervision, will be released on February 7th, 2020. A North American tour was also recently announced with Pacific Northwest stops in Seattle, Vancouver, and Portland. PNW tour stops are happening in March, and tickets are available now. Watch and listen to International Woman of Leisure below!
