It is not everyday that you are praised by the legend Bono, but that happened with Kygo when working on You’re the Best Thing About Me. Kygo recently posted on his Instagram an interview featuring Bono and himself. Bono calls Kygo a star.
You’re the Best Thing About Me is the perfect mix of tropical house and U2. The track was first released during Kygo’s Cloud Nine Festival, but the official version was just recently released. Bono’s voice goes well with the tropical sounds and Kygo’s upbeat feel. It is the perfect song to dance to. If you ever need a pick me up, turn to this track.
With such praise from Bono this may open more doors for EDM. We could start seeing collaborations with other genres, and EDM could grow even more. Because Bono is so respected in the music industry, this could of been a big move for Kygo. He may of opened a lot of doors, and peoples minds to EDM.
