Krewella, a trio from Chicago, have continuously made strides in the dance music industry. The group was originally formed in 2007 and have ranged from a variety of genres such as house, dub step, and even drum and bass. After being around for five years, Krewella released an EP, Play Hard, which was soon followed up by their first album, Get Wet, in 2013. The close release dates were in part due to the dedication the group had agreed upon.
All three members of the group have matching “6-8-10” tattoo’s to commemorate June 8th, 2010, the day when the three agreed to give up their careers, schooling, and any other intentions for their lives, to dedicate all of their time to the trio’s joint music career.
After making the hard decision of giving up all other aspirations and focusing solely on music, Krewella really got to work on their music production. Almost a year from the release of their debut album, Krewella has announced they will be taking some time over the next four months to complete their second album.
We’re taking maybe 50-percent of the next four months off to really crank the second album out. –Yasmine
At the rate Krewella has put out music in the past, we’re hopeful their sophomore album will be out sooner than later.
