From the ashes of drum and bass titans Pendulum, Knife Party was born. Created by Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, Knife Party grew in prominence beginning in 2011 with their first EP release, 100% No Modern Talking. However, it wasn’t until the release of their album Rage Valley that Knife Party become synonymous with dubstep, cementing their place in the bass music hall of fame.
With their tracks: Internet Friends, Bonfire, and Centipede, Knife Party really knows how to make anthems that stand the test of time. Rob and Gareth began the group as a project to try out something different from Pendulum. Yet, people couldn’t help wonder if Pendulum would ever reunite and what that may mean for Knife Party.
Pendulum reunited for a show in London last year, and have toured strictly for DJ sets at festivals for awhile now (with a few scattered full band shows around the world). However, Knife Party is far from being defunct; the duo announced a tour with a stop right here in Seattle.
On July 19, 2018, Knife Party will grace the decks of Foundation Nightclub for the first time for a show that will easily be one of the most epic to be hosted by the club this year. Early bird tickets have gone on sale already, and to ensure your place on the dance floor, think about buying your tickets ASAP; this show will sell out quickly. You can find out more about the event here.
Rob and Gareth are sure to light Foundation Nightclub on fire with their popular tracks, and if you haven’t yet had the pleasure of seeing the magnetic duo live, you’re in for a real treat. Belt out the lyrics of your favorite tracks with hundreds of your closest friends and you’ll have wonderful memories to last a lifetime. See you there!
