The much anticipated and long awaited new album from Knife Party finally has a release date! On October 27th, you can expect Knife Party fans to have a collective audio seizure from the sure to be unrelenting fury of another Knife Party album. Don’t worry Knife Party fans, you won’t have to wait for long to hear some brand new music. The first album single Resistance will be released on Monday, August 25th and it will be free to all, with the full album dropping October 27th.
One half of the duo, Rob Swire, also teased us a little just a couple weeks ago when he put up a teaser of a track they are working on called Boss Mode (we like to think Knife Party is a fan of Marshawn Lynch).
To be quite honest the track sounds a bit like a 90’s era video game in the liking of “Mega Man” or “Streets of Rage,” and we don’t think there would be anymore appropriate way to characterize it. Because let’s face it, when Knife Party comes on, we come to rage!
Many of you may have noticed that Swire has been absent on a string of tour dates, recently leaving the stage raging to the other half of knife party, Gareth McGrillen. It is official that they will be rocking the decks together again at the Electric Zoo festival in New York over Labor Day weekend.
We hope you save the date for this album drop and tell Knife Party to shut up and take our money!
