Seattle-native and legendary musician KJ Sawka will never stop adding credentials to his already phenomenal résumé. The beat-keeper for both Destroid and Pendulum (you may have heard of them?) is known to unleash filthy mixes and tunes as a solo artist as well, showcasing his ridiculous amount of talent in a wide variety of areas. Whether he’s having his hand in creating tunes and destroying cities with Excision and Downlink, dealing with incessant questions about Pendulum, or putting on jaw dropping solo live drum DJ sets, Sawka continues to make the Northwest proud.
We make sure to catch as many of his Northwest appearances as possible, regardless of what form he’s in, and his latest mix is just another reason why. Giving back to the fans in the best way possible, Sawka’s ’50K Mix’ is available for free download as a celebration of his Facebook page surpassing 50,000 likes. The mix is all of the bass-infused madness you would expect from Sawka, and more. A steady combination of all things bass, the official DMNW Drum & Bass God calls upon Aero Chord, Axonic, Destroid, and sprinkles in several of his own originals, remixes, and VIPs, including an unreleased collaboration with Downlink and Dirtyphonics.
If you’re looking for the mix to help you get up for the rest of the weekend after a long week or a late Friday night, look no further. Let us know what you think of KJ’s 50K mix and where you’d like to see him perform in the Northwest! Comment below, on Facebook, or reply on Twitter!
