Attendees of the February Holy Ship! got an unexpected treat when Kaskade joined Skrillex in an incredible B2B set. The two started the set with Cinema by Benny Benassi feat. Gary Go (the Skrillex remix, of course) mashed with Deadmau5 and Kaskade’s I Remember and took it from there with a set flawlessly designed for the Ship Fam. About 56 minutes into the hour and a half B2B, Kaskade tested out his newest track (which he previewed again at EDC Puerto Rico the next day) entitled Never Sleep Alone. Now we all can relive the moment with a live cut of Never Sleep Alone, available on Kaskade’s Soundcloud.
The track is pretty similar to Kaskade’s other signature songs, featuring lead female vocals with heavy synths and electro-infused house. In Never Sleep Alone, Kaskade has evidently jumped on the future house bandwagon, but it’s a solid track and we can’t complain.
PS: You can also listen to the complete Kaskade B2B Skrillex on YouTube. What do you think of their set? Is it a hit or a miss? You can be honest, we spotted a few DJ mishaps in there…
