While there’s a seemingly infinite number of reasons why festival season is our favorite time of year, one of the great things about it is that there’s a festival for everyone. For the electronic dance music fans here in the Northwest, a weekend at the Gorge for Paradiso Festival is a given. The first ever Cascadia NW Arts & Music Festival provides an alternative to those who are seeking a festival experience beyond the music.
To add to your list this year, Squamish Valley Music Festival recently dropped their massive multi-genre lineup. From August 7-9 in Vancouver, BC, Squamish Festival satisfies a wide range of music fans, including EDM lovers alike. Kaskade and Porter Robinson are among the big names you’ll find leading the EDM-heavy lineup this year.
Throughout 2014 and going into the new year, it’s undeniable that there has been a fresh revival of house music and house music acts around the festival circuit. Artists like Hannah Wants, Oliver and Tchami will make a much-welcomed appearance at Squamish. Rounding out the list are notable artists like Adventure Club, A-Trak, Gordon City, Hot Chip, Kaytranda, Odesza, and Slow Magic.
Three-day passes will go on sale on Thursday, February 26 at 10 am for around $275-325 plus fees, depending on which tier you score. We suggest you set an alarm (or three) if you don’t want to miss out!
