Collaboration remains as important as ever for electronic artists producing new music during the COVID-19 pandemic. With two solo tracks under his belt already in 2021, trance DJ/producer Karmy kicks things up a notch with his 3rd release of the year.
This track is particularly special to me. Perfect tune for summer, very melodic, uplifting trance, with an amazing guitar riff by my chilean friend Felipe Saalfeld.
In the past, Karmy has released music under the chilean label Future Sounding Records. More recently, the now Seattle-based artist has self-published under his own imprint K Music. International trance A-lister, Andy Moor, showed his support for Karmy’s latest release. He published Sunset Bay on his label AVA Recordings/Blackhole earlier this week.
Felipe and I went to college together in Chile and we’ve remained close through our bond with music. This is the first time we worked together on an original ‘Karmy’ track and it ended up being a home run!
Besides tickling our fancy, this international friendship clearly bolsters creativity. Karmy successfully debuted Sunset Bay Saturday night at The Underground.
Still buzzing from Saturday night. Playing my new single “Sunset Bay” for the first time in front of an audience was surreal. Meeting one of the most respected producers in the scene, @mikepushofficial was an honor!
