Enter Jimi Frew, Australian producer, and protégé of Tommy Trash. Today he comes to us with his new electro-house preview of Trouble. But hold, on, still can’t place Jimi? Maybe you’ll remember his previous release, mainroom track, Jungle Khat, which was featured on David Guetta’s DJ Mix 182. Jimi has gained the support of other big time producers as well, including Dyro, Tiësto, and Dada Life; even Hardwell, voted the #1 DJ of 2013. Now that you have a better picture of him, let’s talk Trouble.
From the brief glimpse we get of Trouble, co-produced with Sherry St. Germain, we can pick up some orchestral and progressive notes, which flow into the heavy electro-house drop. We even get a small sample of Sherry’s voice, only making the ending of this one-minute sampler that much harder to arrive at. Hungry for more? Don’t fret; with a release date set for May 2nd on OneLove Records, we don’t have much longer to wait. Check out some of his other work, you won’t be disappointed!
