Internationally acclaimed DJ and Bite This! label boss Jauz has just announced his next tour.
The Wise vs Wicked tour celebrates the fifth anniversary of his massively successful album, The Wise and the Wicked. The tour features stops across the United States, with two stops in Denver and Seattle among others.
Jauz has navigated the electronic music scene masterfully for over a decade, amassing millions of listeners and an international standing. Over time, Jauz has skillfully jumped between sounds and even genres while always retaining his musical identity and only growing in popularity.
Starting his career in 2013, Jauz quickly caught the eyes and ears of thousands of people, including some of the biggest names in EDM. By his first single release in 2014 Feel The Volume, Jauz was already working with artists like Diplo, Skrillex, and Borgore. In 2017, Jauz started his very own record label Bite This! and has since signed artists like Grabbitz, Tynan, and Crankdat. Jauz has even revamped the label into Bite This Now in an effort to release more music from even more great artists, all DMCA-free and available on Twitch Soundtrack.
With all of this work and recognition as his foundation, in 2018 he released his first all-original album The Wise and the Wicked. The album was a major success and hit #1 on iTunes in under 90 minutes. The album showcased Jauz’s ability to move between genres like bass house, dubstep, techno, and even drum and bass, while still keeping the album cohesive and overarching. The contrasting tracklist was the focal point of the album, showing the dichotomy of Jauz’s musical themes and genres. This is also what brought in such a massive audience, bringing in listeners from across the EDM community.
Last year, Jauz brought us back to the world of The Wise and the Wicked with two new albums titled Rise of the Wise and Wrath of the Wicked. The albums followed the contrasting themes of its predecessor and showed stark differences in look, sound, and feel. Rise of the Wise implemented a range of house tracks with deep emotional and melodic content. Wrath of the Wicked consisted of heavy bass tunes with rolling bass lines, heavy distortion, and a much more aggressive feel.
Jauz has capitalized on this idea of musical variety and unity with the Wise vs Wicked tour. Each city on the tour will have two shows, themed either “Wise” or “Wicked.” This gives the audience the ability to choose the experience they want to see and provides variety at every stop. Fans in every city will have the chance to see one or even both of these specially curated sets.
