On Tuesday, Infected Mushroom launched a Kickstarter campaign for their latest artistic venture: Creating an unprecedented 3D documentary on their live show. The dynamic duo has teamed up with Golden Gate 3D to create and produce their latest masterpiece, which will take fans behind-the-scenes as well as feature live performances from their FungusAmongUs Tour.
Although the documentary will be filmed using 3D IMAX-caliber digital capture technologies and techniques, Infected Mushroom plans to release the film in 2D, 3D and multiple other formats. Once they reach their goal, the project will begin filming, expected to last around three months with post-production ranging between 3-6 months. Infected Mushroom is hoping to release their 3D documentary sometime between February 2015 and next year’s summer months.
