Illenium’s two-night show over Memorial Day weekend at the Gorge was unforgettable! Despite high winds over 10 mph and gusts in the 20 mph zone temporarily shutting down Day 1, the event remained incredible. Attendees briefly evacuated the pit area and sought refuge in their camps or cars for safety. The winds made temperatures chilly, but we were well-prepared in our cozy onesies.
During the break, we enjoyed a spiked lemonade from the top of the left hill, which packed a punch. Despite the temporary halt, the vibes on Day 1 were immaculate. Although some sets were shortened, we had a blast. The Day 1 lineup included Cinema Kid, Fairlane, Hvdes, Kream, Blanke, Kaskade, and Illenium. Blanke’s 30-minute set was fantastic before Kaskade took the stage.
Kaskade’s full-hour set started 30 minutes late, and Illenium began at 11 PM and ended at 12:30 AM. Illenium was joined by Said The Sky, who played beautiful piano riffs.
Day 2
The second day was even more exciting and packed! Day 1 featured chill vibes, but the final day was meant for raging with Level Up and Ghengar. The lineup included Paws, Midnight Kid, Bijou, Level Up, Ghengar, Two Friends, and Illenium. Two Friends rocked their hip-hop/EDM mashups and brought their saxophonist on stage, creating a party atmosphere. The final performance of the night was Illenium’s throwback set, featuring all his hits and ending with a spectacular fireworks display.
Overall, it was a fantastic start to the PNW’s festival season! This marked Illenium’s third time headlining the Gorge with his own event, and we hope for many more. The stage for the Gorge this summer is well-set for upcoming events; the weather looks promising for Beyond Wonderland on June 22-23. Make sure to grab your tickets and camping passes. The lineup is stacked, and it’s our favorite event at the Gorge.
