ill-esha is no stranger to Seattle, having graced venues across the city on multiple occasions. Most recently she rocked FreakNight 2014’s first day at the Bass Asylum, and is a frequent traveler to our fair city. In just a week and a half, she’ll be rolling through town once again, this time at the historic Nectar Lounge. The Vancouver-born talent describe herself as “not really an observer. I’m very much a participant and a creator.” Needless to say, this is a philosophy that makes her a perfect fit for Seattle (which also likely would explain why she loves coming through here so often). This naturally fits right in with her passion for dance music.
“Everything I do in my life, it quickly becomes way more than a hobby. First I wanted to be part of this culture as a DJ, doing vocals and curating music. After that, I also needed to participate in the music I was playing. I’ve just been moving one step up at a time over the years, into being this completely original show.” –ill-esha
Come January 15th at the Nectar Lounge, it’s a safe bet that we’ll be getting just that: A wholly original show. In a scene rife with sameness, ill-esha stands alone as a visionary within her genre. Anyone looking to see a one-of-a-kind brand of bass music need look no further. Grab a ticket now for just $13 to be a part of the madness, and join the event page over in this direction!
