Earl Scioneaux III (aka The Madd Wikkid) is no stranger to making original edits and adding his own touch of jazz and funk to the mix. Since the tender age of 4, The Madd Wikkid has experimented on almost every instrument he could get his hands on. However, what he is doing now could change how music is made. A project, which will go by the name ‘”Crowdsource A Musical Adventure,” will give the listener a choice between a number of edits that sound completely different. The listeners then vote on which edit they like best. This will be done via a private group for all of the backers from Kickstarter or Reddit.
There are a range of ideas that could be voted on. For an example, The Madd Wikkid might have five verses written for a song, but only needs to use three. He then might ask everyone in the private group which verses should be included, or if there should be a male or female vocalist. There might be dozens of samples for the backers to choose from. To learn more, or if you want to help back the project by donating head over this way!
