We couldn’t resist the urge to ask what else can be expected from the tour and what will next be filling our ears. As is to be expected, they were a bit coy about the future, but their manager confirmed there is a reason we saw so many cameras at the Dada events that have been happening recently. She hinted that Seattle “might be included” in the really cool video stuff to be coming from the big shows, and we can only hope that these dreams come true the same way our hopes for a pillow fight did. Past Dada productions have been fantastic so we have full faith that their editing team will do a stellar job.
Musically we’ve been treated to a teaser of Freaks Have More Fun, a deliciously fun track that gives us no choice but to once again don our smile makes and rage with our friends as the quintessential Dada electro sound drops. It was a blast getting a taste of the track at the Compound; this one is destined to join the ranks of other Dada classics like Kick Out The Epic Motherf*****, Happy Violence, and Born To Rage.
Speaking of smiles, Dada just recently released the files to One Smile, so aspiring producers can have their way with the tracks and make some magic with them. We can’t wait to see what fans do with the files, and neither can Dada. They’ll be giving shoutouts to the ones they like best, and who knows, yours may even make it into the Dada Land Podcast!
We’re truly sad with this final article to acknowledge that the Dada Land Compound is truly over, but we hope you’ve enjoyed the journey as much as we’ve enjoyed writing about it. The long wait for Dada’s return was worth it, now we just get to hope it’s not another two years until they return. Stefan and Olle, Seattle loves you and we can’t wait to have you back. We might even willingly let you take some of our fish next time!
