Once again, Griz impresses with a tightly focused collection of heaters that he’s been teasing during some of his live performances. Opening the EP with Gonna Get Funky, Griz eases us into a groovy house track guaranteed to get crowds flowing in high spirits. This track definitely runs counter to the crowd-pleasing bombshells opening previous Bangers EPs, and it’s a great style that we hope he experiments with more.
But make no mistake. The next track, Let’s Get Weird, is exactly the mind-altering dubstep monstrosity you’d expect at the high point of a Griz set. All the while, playful vocal samples urge the listeners to get weird, which they undoubtedly will.
Finally, Griz officially releases the Tiger Kingdom Space Camp anthem that’s been wowing anyone lucky enough to witness it live. It’s a brassy bass tune with Griz’s signature style written all over it, and also includes sampling from the Australian band The Cat Empire. This track’s even been getting the full marching band treatment at some of his live performances!

Last month, Griz announced ticket sales for his highly-anticipated Grizmas show. Unfortunately, the show sold out shortly after tickets went on sale. Grizmas is a full charity event that takes place at the Masonic Temple in Detroit, Michigan. Playing back-to-back nights on December 13th and 14th, this will be the 6th annual event.
Don’t sleep on these bangers!
