Following the success of last year’s event featuring 12 days of charity events across Detroit to benefit Little Kids Rock, GRiZ will be kicking off the holiday season once again with “The 12 Days of GRiZmas.” Also known as Grant Kwiecinski, the Detroit native will be donating 100% of the proceeds to Little Kids Rock, a charity providing free music classes and workshops to public schools across the United States. GRiZmas officially begins December 8th, and while most of the events will be based in Detroit, there are still ways for PNW GRiZ fans to be involved.
On the first day of GRiZmas the official charity store opens online, featuring rare and STFO gems selected just for the fam. The eighth day will include a stream from #LiveFromTheDen, showing us a secret warehouse party featuring GRiZ and Special Guests TBA. All Good Records has also setup a page allowing fans to donate, having already raised almost $6,000. We encourage everyone to donate if possible, and be sure to tell them DMNW sent ya!
The calendar of events also include feeding the homeless, yoga, GRiZmas carols and a coat drive. The 12th (and final day) will be capped off with a sold out show at the Masonic Temple, with support from FKJ, Big Wild, and Will Sessions. The party doesn’t end there though: The official after party will be moving and grooving in the Masonic Temple basement with SunSquabi, Freddy Todd, and Brass Tracks. Tickets are still available, so if you’re in the Detroit area grab yours before this too sells out.
For a full list of event details be sure to check out the official GRiZmas page.
We’re always excited to see artists giving back to community and raising awareness for a good cause. Have a special way you give back to the community during the holidays? We’d like to hear from you: comment below, on Facebook, or reply on Twitter!
