Recently premiered on Above and Beyond’s Anjunabeats 11 mixtape, Parker & Hansons newest track, Gravity is nothing short of pure beauty. Tony McGuiness says it’s rare that Parker & Hanson come out with music, but when they do it is always so good. We couldn’t agree more. The beauty of this track comes from its complex simplicity. The simplicity of the track is that there are not very many layers to the meat of the track: A kick drum, a little synth, and the overpowering strings of a grand piano. The complexity comes from the chord progressions and harmonies from the piano. It is something reminiscent of a classical sonata taken from the spirit of Mozart, Vivaldi, or Beethoven.
The story of these two psuedo-brothers is so amazing and to see how far they have come together is nothing short of a miracle. It is that spirit that shines through their productions and we personally can’t wait for their next great work.
