The Glitch Mob has announced a series of intimate club show dates on their 2019 roster. The Los Angeles based group posted the exciting update on their official Twitter, stating:
“…This is a chance for us to play tunes we don’t always get to play-music from deep in our catalog, music from other artists. See you on the dance floor”
The group has teased new projects in the works (including a VR experience) for a while, but this announcement comes as a pleasant surprise to their longtime and just discovering fans alike.
For a little context, The Glitch Mob is composed of three artists. EdIT (real name Edward Ma), Boreta (Justin Boreta) and Ooah (Josh Mayer). Founded in 2006, the group burst onto the scene in 2010 with their game-changing album Drink The Sea. After that, they released 2014’s Love Death Immortality and 2018’s See Without Eyes. Their unique sound has been characterized as a blend of electro with glitch elements and hypnotic melodies. Their work has also appeared on the soundtracks for several major motion pictures and even video game trailers.
The Glitch Mob will be performing at 45 East in Portland, OR this January 26th, 2019. Tickets are up for sale through their own website, this show will be a must-attend for any canny PNW raver. This will be their first appearance in the Pacific Northwest since their set at Shambhala Music Festival 2018, and we eagerly await to see what the group has in store for us.
