[authorbox authorid=”966″ title=”The F in CFO Doesn’t Stand For FVDED”]
FVDED In The Park was not an experience I’ll soon forget. In itself, any guy’s weekend to another country is already a sight to behold, but add in a brief moment of getting lost in Surrey, a ton of walking, and one of the most exhilarating musical performances I’ve ever seen in front of less than 10,000 people, and you have the recipe for one of the best experiences ever.
Coming off of Paradiso, FVDED was the perfect environment. I was dreading another weekend of partying after just feeling human again, having returned from the Gorge only a few days before leaving again for Canada. The vibe at FVDED though was much more low-key. Eating cheese-covered bread watching funky bass music was just what the doctor ordered.
The biggest highlight of the weekend, besides visiting the Surrey Boston Pizza for cheap eats/drinks two night in a row, was deadmau5. Long builds kept us on the edge of our seats (so to speak) the entire show with a 13 minute version of the Veldt that left the entire audience picking their jaws up off the floor. It was safe to say no one was having more fun than we were.
By the time the weekend was over, I was tired, battered, dirty, and satisfied. FVDED exceeded all expectations, and Blueprint once again outdid themselves, pushing me one step closer to inevitably buying a house in British Columbia.
