As we impatiently wait to see the lineups for some of our favorite festivals for 2017, we can finally mark one off our list. Returning for its 3rd year in Holland Park, Surrey and its 5th year overall is Blueprint’s FVDED in the Park. The festival brings in nearly 30,000 people each year and is the largest outdoor festival in Metro Vancouver. We’ve attended the last two years and can guarantee after catching a glimpse of this year’s lineup we look to make a third appearance.
As always, Blueprint manages to put together a great lineup of artists covering several types of music, making it a must attend Summer event. Topping the list is none other than the AMA’s “Favorite EDM Artist”, and holders of a laundry list of other awards, The Chainsmokers. The duo have been in high demand for the last year or so, and Blueprint has finally delivered for FVFED in the Park 2017.Other names worth noting are Dillon Francis, Getter, What So Not, and Vancouver’s Funk Hunters. Going down July 7th and 8th, FVDED in the Park will host 30+ musical acts on the 10 acre Holland Park just outside the city of Vancouver.
Tickets for the 2-day event officially go on sale Monday, March 6th starting at $179.50cad, which is even cheaper in USD. While we certainly enjoy taking advantage of the US to Canadian exchange rate, don’t let it fool you. Blueprint has almost 20 years of experience putting together great events, some of which include our favorites form the last few years. BP will likely be pulling out all the stops per usual and attempting to top past years before. We’d also like to remind you of the now infamous Blueprint Afterparties which you should never pass on should the opportunity arrive.
FVDED in the Park is still a few months away, but as the weather starts to warm up, we can’t help be being to dream of Summer. Festival season is nearly upon us and we here at DMNW can’t be more thrilled to get back out there with you all. For the time being though we’ll continue to wait for more festival lineups, prepare our favorite outfits, and continue to dream about brighter, sunnier days.
