Simon Patterson
There’s more than a few trance artists performing at FreakNight 2015, but nobody perked our ears up quite like Simon Patterson. The 34-year-old Belfast-native began DJing in 2000, and producing tunes as part of duo Dogzilla with Richie Kayvan in 2003. After releasing his first single in 2006, Patterson began focusing solely on his solo career in 2008. He then produced hit after hit, topping Beatport charts with ease, building a massive fan-base with his blend of trance and techno. His ‘Open Up’ radio show is a must for trance fans and catching his first Northwest performance since his show at Foundation Nightclub last year sounds like the perfect way to spend Halloween 2015.
ATB
His set from FreakNight 2013 is still fresh in our mind (remember when he dropped Strangers?), and ATB’s return to our fall festival-of-choice is one of the best treats of the year. The 42-year-old German who also goes by Andre’ Tanneberger has been making waves in dance music since he was a member of group Sequential One. The group also featured the likes of Ulrich Poppelbaum, Woody van Eyden and vocalist Morpha and released their first album, Dance, in 1995. In 1998, ATB went solo, and finding his own success with 1999 single 9 PM (Till I Come), which hit #1 in the UK. He’s since released nine studio albums, with the last coming in the form of 2014’s Contact. His productions are fantastic, but it’s live where ATB sets himself apart. We’re hoping his sets become a more regular occurrence in the Northwest, and until they are, we’re making sure we don’t miss a second of ATB’s performance at FreakNight 2015.
Infected Mushroom
Bringing us something new each and every time they visit, Northwest-favorites Infected Mushroom will be performing a ‘Classic DJ Set’. What does that mean?
@RatchetMeow pretty much

That means the Israeli duo will be performing a psytrance set, pretty much. Bringing out the darker, high tempo side of trance out to play at FreakNight sounds like the perfect Halloween treat. Infected Mushroom are regulars in our area, performing at local clubs and festivals alike, including Paradiso 2013 and 2014. Their appearance at FreakNight 2015 makes it three at the Northwest’s freakiest fall festival, as the duo also performed at FreakNight 2010 and 2013. Yet, we’re confident in saying that their set, full of classic psytrance spookiness, will be unlike any Infected Mushroom performance we’ve been treated to in years.
Myon & Shane 54
Another act at FreakNight whose live performances turn festival tickets from ‘maybe’ to ‘must buy’ after their announced, Myon & Shane 54 make their quick return to the Northwest this fall. The Hungarian duo were part of the stacked lineup that joined Above & Beyond at the Tacoma Dome earlier this year. Teaming up in 2008, the fan-favorites provide the perfect mixture of progressive house & trance for festivals, and missing their set would be a rookie-raver mistake. Just one listen to an episode of their massively popular ‘International Departures’ radio show explains why that’s the case.

Photographer
Having his love of dance music inspired by Armin van Buuren’s ‘A State Of Trance’ radio show in 2006, Ukranian Dmitry Chumak, aka Photographer, has been showing he’s not afraid of 138 ever since. Releasing his first tune, Take Off, in 2010, and gaining a bit more traction in 2013, Photographer quickly became regular contributor to ASOT. He has his own radio show as well, entitled Soundcasting, and has featured at several ASOT and FSOE tour stops across the globe throughout his career. Uplifting trance at the highest level, Photographer at FreakNight 2015 is a must for the Seattle Trance Family.
Suspect 44
Transatlantic duo Suspect 44 make their first festival appearance at FreakNight 2015, bringing their blend of hard-hitting trance to the Tacoma Dome this fall. Made up of Seattle-based Luke Shipstad and Dutchman Zhiar Mahmoud, Suspect 44 has been representing the Northwest in the best of ways. Releasing tunes via Anjunadeep, Anjunabeats, and Armada, Suspect 44 have shown their production skills to be top notch. Now, we’ll get to see them live. Based off of their performance at Foundation Nightclub earlier this summer, we won’t be disappointed.
