Eli & Fur
Another duo to break out of London, Eli & Fur have the blessings of dance music greats like Carl Cox and Pete Tong. Already taking over the European summer festival circuit, Eli & Fur are making their way across the Atlantic and becoming one of the breakout acts of 2015. The duo also represent the only female producers at FreakNight, joining Alana Watson as the three female artists performing at the festival. Their blend of Chicago house and Detroit techno is dance-floor friendly and we can’t wait to get acquainted with Eli & Fur during their Northwest debut this fall.
Luciano
There will be a lot of great tech house at FreakNight 2015, and Luciano might be the best of the bunch. The Swiss-born, Chile-raised artist has been DJing and producing music since his teens in the late-90s. An Ibiza-regular throughout his career, Luciano has worked with many tech house greats, playing a massive role in the success of dance music in Europe throughout the last decade. He’s also managed to release three albums in his career, with the last coming in 2009. Dedicated to the craft, Luciano has reached a place most artists dream of. We can’t wait his long-awaited Northwest return, when Luciano transforms FreakNight into the Techno-ma Dome.
Kill Them With Colour
Toronto-based Kill Them With Colour, formerly a duo, is now made up solely of Wesley Marsh. With a bounty of remixes, mash-ups, and originals, Kill Them With Colour firmly pushes (and breaks) the walls of genre boundaries, dabbling throughout house music in a variety of ways. Although he only recently began making appearances on the festival circuit, Marsh is impressing at every turn. The former childhood actor/model recalls performing to several thousand people at Firefly Festival earlier this year as a career defining moment, and we’re hoping he feels the same after stepping off of the stage at FreakNight 2015.
Generik
Generik, also known as Tyson O’Brien, is an Australian artist showcasing his talents in a refreshingly unique way. He hosts his own television show in his home country, entitled MESSED UP. The show “turns up to bring the world’s fastest growing music genre to your screen”, according to it’s website, and we hope he brings the same energy to the Northwest for his debut in our corner of the country this fall. Championed by Calvin Harris, Generik is anything but his namesake, and when he comes to FreakNight 2015 we’ll all see why.
Kölsch
Born in 1977 and releasing tunes since 1995, Rune Reilly Kölsch represents everything that’s great about the history of techno. Performing and releasing music under several aliases throughout his decades long career, Kölsch has worked with artists in both dance music and beyond, such as Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, NERVO, and more. The Danish artist has released two studio albums in his career, 1977 in 2013, and 1983 earlier this year, both of which are classic examples of his golden techno touch. Another impressive booking for USC Events, Kölsch is an artist every dance music fan should take time to see at FreakNight 2015.
