The dance music gods are kind and we were once again gifted some Hardstyle at FreakNight. Last year Headhunterz and Psyko Punkz were featured on the lineup, and now we’re getting one of the all-time greats. Antonio Dona, aka Tuneboy, is an Italian artist who produced his first tune in 1995 under the alias Wide World, and had his first live performance a year later. All he’s done since is help create and push a genre that’s successfully found it’s place within the dance music cosmos. After meeting Cristiano Giusberti, aka Technoboy, in 2000, the duo began a run that’s as impressive as any in dance music today. He’s performed at festivals around the world that exist in large part to his efforts, and worked with artists who’ve grown into Hardstyle by listening to his productions. If you enjoy hardstyle as much as we do, get to Tuneboy’s set. Not only is it his Northwest debut, but it’s the only hardstyle you’ll get the chance to enjoy at FreakNight this fall.
