[divider]Rave vs Massive vs Show[/divider]
A rave has always been a blanket term for EDM shows. But in actuality raves are a specific type of EDM show. Believe it or not “rave” actually means “wild bohemian party.” This is actually a pretty accurate way to describe a rave. Raves generally have very little regulation and are pulled off in most cases illegally. When young we called them parties.
A “massive” is an organized music festival like EDC, Ultra, Paradiso, etc. Generally there is a theme to each of these massive productions.
Shows are pretty self-explanatory. Generally one headliner, and a couple of local DJ’s. When you head out to a club to see your favorite DJ, you are going to a show.
