Announced today in a press release, Foundation Nightclub will be rebranding Progression Saturdays beginning June 4th, 2016. The new night, called “Elevate Saturdays,” will be kicked off by Party Favor, and introduces a more open format that includes electro, trance, bass, and house music.
Foundation’s Progression Saturdays have been firmly rooted in trance and progressive house since the club was launched in 2012. It has seen bookings from major trance artists like BT, Paul Oakenfold, Orjan Nilsen, Beat Service, JES, and Above & Beyond. Elevate Saturdays looks to cater to a wider audience.
Elevate Saturdays will not be home to only one style of music, but will focus on creating an ongoing party that encompasses Electro, Trance, Bass Music, and House. From our local resident DJs to headlining acts from around the world, the music brought by Foundation Nightclub will provide a high-energy spectrum of sounds that is sure to elevate every patron’s nightlife experience.
The shift isn’t that surprising when you consider that clubs like The Underground are bringing in major trance players and catering to a very targeted Trance Family audience. Opening up the format at a club like Foundation likely means wider appeal for Foundation’s larger and more commercial-oriented crowd. “Foundation Nightclub is striving to deliver an energizing and uplifting atmosphere, beginning from the moment each guest walks through the door and lasting until the moment they leave.”
Brandon Noftsger, Foundation’s director of marketing, confirmed this broader vision. “We wanted to create a night focused more on the nightlife experience and less on the genre of music being played. We will welcome a variation of artists from all genres, [as] opposed to just Progressive Electro and Trance.”
The inaugural Elevate Saturday will also feature local support from DARRIUS and Endr. You can purchase tickets here.
