The fanny pack first became popular in the early 1980’s. The slang term “fanny” pack came from the fact that it was typically worn facing the rear, birthing the aptly-named moniker. Some say that it’s a sure sign of an out-of-place tourist, or in our more common case, a sure sign of a festivalgoer. For those who have attended a festival or two in their lifetime, they would unanimously say: you need to get a fanny pack. Festival veteran of 4 years Taylor Mozzone states:

Like any accessory, the fanny pack has gone in and out of fashion, but we’re of the belief that it’s coming back. Don’t believe us? Fanny Pack: Camo
Another question we’re sure you’re wondering: Aren’t fanny packs just for girls? Absolutely not! They come in camo, black, grey, or any other color you prefer. Another concertgoer of five years states:

Fanny packs might not be for everyone, and in many cases, a small back pack could do just fine. However, you may run into the all too common issue of dancing with a bulky object swinging from on your back (and nobody wants to be the person to accidentally knock someone out with their bag).
