Another really important item that we have ALL forgotten at one point or another is a light source. Flashlights are nice and can suffice, but a headlamp is really the way to go. Head lamps will leave your hands free to do all your set up if you arrive to the festival camp grounds after sunset. They also also allow you to hold your beverage in one hand and grill tongs in the other when you’re preparing the night’s meal over the BBQ. Honestly, we don’t see the point in breaking the bank over this item so it is up to you which one you want to get. REI has a Petzl Tikkina Headlamp for about $20.
