Modus Renders Festiva’s Latin House Into The Deep

The newest track from Festiva, Two Bongos, comes with a fantastic remix by the talented Modus. While the original gives us a warm and fuzzy deep house feeling, the rework by Modus throws us into a beautifully stripped down, hypnotic, deep-tech house vibe. We would even go as far to say that the Latin flair provided by the bongos is even more present here as Modus’ version focuses more on percussion rather than melody. For the majority of the track he only hints at the synth, instead choosing to take us away with progressively more complex drums. At the apex, we are left with a bare rhythm, while Festiva’s original Two Bongos melody shines through. Only for a moment though, as we soon return to the mesmerizing rhythm of the soulful bongo.
