If you’re looking for a night of haunting, curated house music then you won’t want to miss Haunt & Gather at Kremwerk on October 25th. Felix da Housecat, one of the OG house music pioneers of the Chicago ’90s, is headlining this ghostly event. Having a legend in town doesn’t happen too often and this will be a night dedicated to dance. Haunt & Gather is presented by Kremwerk and Hunt & Gather, a local record label owned by techno producer Dave Pezzner. Musical support for the night are Hunt & Gather residents Michael Manahan, Pezzner, and Doza as well as special guest Jesse Lear. This spooky night of fun includes two floors of music as the Timbre Room upstairs will also host Brit Hansen, J-Justice, and Atlee Treasure.
This is the second time Felix da Housecat has brought the party to Kremwerk, and his eccentric style and passion for music are one of a kind. Owner of his own label, Radikal Fear Records, he helped create early releases by DJ Sneak, Armando and Mike Dunn. It wasn’t until collaborating with Miss Kittin, Tommie Sunshine, Junior Sanchez and Junior Jack that Felix was pushed mainstream; his 2001 Kittenz and Thee Glitz album earned him Best Album by the Muzik awards. This helped define his electroclash style and grow popularity through remixing hits for Madonna, Britney Spears, and Kylie Minogue. Listen to his unique style and watch the official video for his track Silver Screen (Shower Scene) below.
Doors open at 10 and this party is sure to go late into the witching hours. Don’t miss out on a night of house filled Halloween fun and snag your early bird tickets here.
