We were heartbroken last November when the second day of Freaknight was cancelled, causing some of the Northwest to miss the highly anticipated Zeds Dead (unless you were lucky enough to be at Q Nightclub, of course!) But as quick as a strike from Cupid’s love arrow, our hearts can begin to mend as the Canadian duo will return as the headliners of “Love Phenomenon” at Portland’s Roseland Theater on Valentine’s Day.
DC and Hooks have been hard at work, as evident through their successful eight-track Somewhere Else EP. Most recently, the bass masterminds released their rework of Jack Ü’s Take Ü There, that has undoubtedly become a crowd pleaser.
Presented by Disco Donnie and Red Cube, “Love Phenomenon” features support from local favorites Sidestep and HAL-V & SpaceCase. The show is 18+, with doors opening at 7 p.m. For tickets and other information, visit the Facebook event page. For those looking to dance their hearts out in Seattle, trance master Max Graham is performing a special open-to-close set at Foundation Nightclub. Ummet Ozcan and Jack Beats will also headline “USC Loves You” at Showbox Sodo to celebrate the day of love.
