Since its debut nearly two years ago, Excision’s Paradox has become one of the must-see custom stage rigs in electronic dance music. Featuring crisp HD visuals, dancing lasers, euphoric lighting, and a “face-melting” 150,000 watt PK sound system, the Pacific Northwest has been treated to multiple Paradox shows across Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. Next year, Excision’s masterpiece will grace our region once more. Portland. Get ready.
During Lost Lands, Ex’s debut music festival, last weekend, flyers were passed out to those in attendance. Pictured below, the flyer promotes a 2018 Paradox North American tour. On Wednesday, the tour was officially announced to the world on social media. Consisting of over 30 dates, with more to be announced (Seattle and Vancouver please!), the Paradox will hit almost all corners of the United States and features support from Liquid Stranger, Monxx, and Dion Timmer. Starting off in Los Angeles, the tour will next travel to Portland for two nights: Monday, January 22nd, and Tuesday, January 23rd.
The venue has yet to be announced, but our money is on the Roseland Theater or the Crystal Ballroom: both of which can hold roughly 1,500 people, and are located in the downtown area. While going to a show like this on a Monday or Tuesday night isn’t that ideal, you can bet tickets will sell quickly; pre-sales starting October 12th. We’ll have more updates on Paradox Portland once event details have been released. Would you make a weekday road trip to the Rose City to experience this unique stage?
Important things happen in Pacific Northwest nightlife, and DMNW will send you alerts!
