A new album from Los Angeles-based producer Eskmo (known better as Brendan Angelides, as well as his side project Welder) is on the way and will be released before the end of the year. Recently, Eskmo put up some previously unreleased songs on his Souncloud simply titled B-Sides Unrlsd Vol 1 (2008-2012). This is undoubtedly his most complex and experiment set of work yet. If this is a taste of what the new album might be like, we are all in for a treat.

Eskmo is nothing short of amazing to see live. He can take simple things like cans of soda, ripping up paper towels, crinkling bags of chips and many other things to create unique and original sound effects to use within the beats and measures of the songs. Last time Eskmo performed here was 2011 for Decibel Festival at the Paramount Theater with Amon Tobin. Check out this clip from the show (to see the best of his work, skip a few minutes in)!
Eskmo will be returning with Robot Koch and others on April 13th at the Nectar Lounge (21+) in Fremont. Tickets for the show are just $12 here. We recommend you don’t miss out on this!
