Those lucky enough to be in the crowd at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas during the finale of Eric Prydz’s set should recognize this track. For the rest of us, this nine minute long epic anthem of progressive house, Opus, graced our ears through Soundcloud, where Prydz recently uploaded it.
The song will be a sure staple in many sets for the rest of the summer. It features a dramatic buildup that lasts 3 minutes and 44 seconds (the length of a full track) before revealing an infectious melody and beat in the drop. It’s sure to capture the positive vibes and imaginations of any raver this festival season.
Prydz uploaded a 35 second video of Opus played during the last moments of his EDC set and the Facebook comments mirror fan reactions from all over social media. Listeners are raving about Prydz’s new track, some calling it their favorite moment of EDC, which boasted no shortage of talented DJs.
Prydz will drop his newest album in October while his next two Pryda EPs will be released in August and September.
