‘Enormous: The Gorge Story’ Documentary Set for Initial Run of Showings

The never before told story of The Gorge Amphitheatre, our beloved scenic venue in the middle of Washington, is making its world and Northwest premieres this month. Debuting at a series of film festivals, ‘Enormous: The Gorge Story’ is the kind of documentary music fans around the world will be able to appreciate, and will resonate with those of us who’ve graced the iconic grounds.

We’ve been following the making of the film for a few years now, and are beyond excited for the project to be nearing its final phase. When we spoke with the makers of ‘Enormous: The Gorge Story’ in May of 2015, the future of the film was less certain. Now, after years of patience and hard work, fans throughout the Northwest and West Coast will have the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of the crew’s labor.

The world premiere of ‘Enormous: The Gorge Story’ is on February 1st at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. For those of us further north, the documentary is being shown at the Spokane International Film Festival on February 4th. There will be additional showings at the LA Indie Festival on February 15th and at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in Montana on February 22nd.

“We are beyond thrilled to premiere Enormous: The Gorge Story at the Santa Barbara International Film
Festival. The film features a lot of rare archival footage, unbelievable music stories, and of course, a killer
soundtrack. It’s been a passion project of ours for 5 years, and we can’t wait to share it at SBIFF.”
said Nic Davis, Director of the film, and Founder of 4:08 Productions.

Directed by Nic Davis and produced by Tim Williams, ‘Enormous: The Gorge Story’ is 60 minutes long. The film features the likes of the Dave Matthews Band and Jason Mraz, as well as footage from the now-defunct Sasquatch! Music Festival.

Given the venue’s history, across a variety of music genres, this film is a must-see for music fans of all types. We know that, as dance music fans, there may not be a more iconic venue in the Northwest. Hosting the likes of Paradiso, Bass Canyon, and countless other EDM events, The Gorge Amphitheatre is certainly one of the homes of dance music in the PNW. Getting the opportunity to learn more about the history of such a venue is something we can all get behind.
