The Chainsmokers’ #SELFIE has seized the collective attention of our scene since its release months ago, leading to an onslaught of self-photography never before seen on this scale. It’s quickly become an almost obligatory part of every house set and is sure to be high on the list of tracks we’re going to hear nonstop during festival season. Here to give it the arena-worthy electro remix it so appropriately deserved is Los Angeles producer Elephante.
Put simply, this one is everything anyone could have wanted out a remix. Elephante takes all the spectacularly vain satire of #SELFIE, and drops in a killer melody that came about when a friend made the bold claim that it couldn’t be turned into a “big melodic track.” Based on how it turned out, we’d say Elephante won that bet.
