If you have seen the movie Under the Electric Sky, then you probably remember the long-distance couple featured, Jim and Janna. The film, directed by Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz, documents Insomniac’s 2013 Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC). It also follows several others including a group of guys who call themselves the “Wolf Pack,” a polyamorous rave family from California, a girl with social anxiety, a guy in a wheelchair, and an older couple with two children. But it was Jim and Janna that many people found themselves relating to most. They are young professionals who take their work life and careers seriously, but are willing to put on their spirit hoods and go all out for a good party. We caught up with Jim and Janna to learn more about their relationship and their thoughts on EDC.
