FilmEDM, an LA-based production company that focuses on electronic dance music, has just come out with a brand new film. The movie is aptly titled “Electric Heart,” and follows the adventure of two friends on their journey to an electronic music festival. While debauchery ensues, the themes of peace, love, unity, and respect in regard to the EDM community are prominent throughout. But wait, there’s a twist. There’s absolutely no audio for the characters dialogue–the narrative is completely silent.
A silent film about electronic music festivals? It shouldn’t work, but it does. The dynamic soundtrack features notable artists such as Armin Van Buuren, W&W, Dash Berlin, Dillion Francis, and many more; their music carries the story and perfectly portrays the excitement and passion of EDM fans. This is a must see. Due to the varying opinions of previous EDM related films, we’re certainly curious if this film will encompass the community.
Unfortunately, screenings are limited, with the only upcoming showing occurring in LA on April 19th. We’ll be sure to keep our eyes peeled for any future dates and locations, but meanwhile watch the trailer below!
