Edward Ma, also known as edIT, is giving long-time fans a treat. Celebrating the 10-year anniversary of his debut album Crying Over Pros For No Reason, edIT has released a deluxe edition of the album, featuring five additional songs written during the time of the original work. The anniversary album is available for download on all the major online retailers and is being released on The Glitch Mob’s label, Glass Air Records. Ma is one-third of the titanic trio that is The Glitch Mob, and his influences on the group are evident after enjoying Crying Over Pros For No Reason. The album was a benchmark for dance music and its impact, as well as edIT’s, have been felt ever since.
10 years is an eon in electronic music, where today’s hit can be old news by tomorrow. So it brings a smile to my face when I still receive messages about Crying Over Pros For No Reason. Your first record is always special, because it’s a snapshot of a moment in time that is free of expectation and outside perceptions. It is arguably the purest and rawest expression of who you are as an artist. – edIT
