It’s only been but a few days, but the excitement has really started to sink in since Insomniac released their official trailer for EDC Las Vegas 2016. EDC — the Electric Daisy Carnival — is marking history this go around, celebrating 20 years under the electric sky.
One of the US’s longest-running festivals, it is sure to be something out of a modern day raver fairytale. The 10-minute teaser offers a 360 degree visual tour showcasing each of the six stages (cosmicMEADOW, neonGARDEN, circuitGROUNDS, bassPOD, wasteLAND and kineticFIELD), and a preview of the type of music you’ll find at each stage.
The teaser captures only but a mere glimpse of what’s in store for attendees, within a sea of shining lights, smoke, and flames, amongst an expected crowd of around 400,000 fans over the span of three days. Insomniac is known for being top in production, with their state-of-the-art lighting and sound, wondrous displays of daisies and flowers amongst art installations, and a grounds jam-packed with performers from across the country.
EDC & eBay are currently teaming up with a charity auction offering up once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to get fans stoked for the big weekend. With offerings like DJ lessons with A-Trak or playing beer pong at EDC, this auction is definitely something that sets them apart from other promoters.
EDCLV 2016 will be held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway June 17, 18, & 19. Tickets are still available; for more information check out their official website. EDC has also set up travel accommodations, whether you need shuttles, drop off locations, parking, or even a helicopter ride in, for those who feel extravagant. Additionally hotel accommodations can be found here. Two hotels are already fully booked for the weekend, so hurry while there’s still room!
