The dynamic duo of Armand Van Helden and A-Trak have returned as their alter ego Duck Sauce. Responsible for producing club hits like Barbra Streisand and aNYway, these two legends have picked up their old project with style. After six years they’ve released a new upbeat single Smiley Face. A genuinely happy and uplifting house track it’s quirky in true Duck Sauce fashion. It’s available now on all streaming platforms, but you can give it a listen below!
The full length of the extended mix reaches past 7 minutes, bumping out positive vibes the entire time. Duck Sauce looped in Make Someone Feel Happy Today, an old schoolhouse track from Two Tons O’ Fun released in 1980. Adding in extra drums and a bouncing bassline Smiley Face feels like a throwback refresh for the current house scene. Hopefully, more new music from Duck Sauce is headed our way, as the duo currently holds two major headlining slots in 2020. You can catch Duck Sauce at Tomorrowland, as well as on the Coachella grounds Sunday, April 12th and 19th.
With Duck Sauce’s return, there is no telling what other surprises 2020 has in store. Rumors have been swirling of a potential Pretty Lights come back, and who wouldn’t be excited for Jack Ü to reunite? For now, we’re crossing our fingers in hope that Duck Sauce has more new music in store!
