We dropped in on the Droeloe show at Showbox Market in Seattle on September 23rd and we’ve got all the details on this dreamy night to remember!
Openers
Droeloe secured some super talented supporting artists to bring along on tour with him. Dylan C. Greene hit the stage to start warming up the crowd. His chill beats had us swaying and he kept the vibe light while still keeping the crowd moving.
It was his first time out to the PNW and we were sure glad to have him!

Next up we got to see Demotapes also make his first Seattle stop. He picked things up just a bit and kept the energy on the rise. He played a ton of tracks from his EP and had the crowd jumping the whole way through.
Demotapes has done a lot of work creating sample packs but he’s really starting to make his mark in the scene on his first tour. Along with supporting Droeloe on this tour, he also just released the track RWEOK? with another up-and-comer, Discolines.

The Main Event
With the crowd riled and ready, it was time for the night’s headliner. Droeloe had a unique setup that we hadn’t seen him bring to the stage before. It wasn’t your typical DJ set on the decks, but instead a combo of electronic and traditional instruments, along with his vocals.
His visual decor was also quite different than you’d typically see at an EDM show. His setup included LED light bars that were built to create a cube-type structure, and could also be manipulated into different placements throughout the set. He didn’t forget the lasers, either. He set them up above his spot on stage to create almost a pyramid of lasers around himself.
He hit us with a mix of new and old tracks and serenaded us with his trusty trumpet and soothing vocals. He showcased his skills on the drums as well as the keyboard and it was a great switch up from the typical sets we’re used to. Droeloe’s dedication to exploring his musical talents was shining.
Droeloe connected with his crowd lovingly and took pride in showing his appreciation towards his fans. From the intricacy of his songs to the words he spoke, this man has such a positive vibe! He even headed to the merch booth after his set to make sure he could meet with some fans, a personal touch we all love to see.
Though this wasn’t the first time we’ve seen Droeloe in Seattle, it felt like a new kind of show from him. Seeing someone play trumpet, drums, and keyboard, and sing all in the same set was something special to the EDM genre. Droeloe put his all into his set to create his special sound.
We’re so happy we could make it out for this unforgettable night. Make sure to check out Droeloe’s latest album The Art of Change, and check his tour schedule here to see if he might be near you next!
