Say hello to Zimmer. Full of funky, feel-good disco dancing over house inspired beats, it is no wonder why we have this French producer blasting on our speakers as we drive in the sun.
Zimmer has been noted for his new genre of “horizontal disco.” One of our favorite “horizontal disco” selections is “Galapagos” which is full of dazzling synths and tidal waves of emotion. This one should have come with a “Made in Mexico” tag. A slow tempo and tropical richness is enough to get more than a few of us heated up.
One of his newest remixes remodels the works of Mø’s “Dont Wanna Dance.” Pairing the indie-pop songstress’ playful vocals with his signature sparkling disco, Zimmer has made us a treat to keep our summer nights in full swing. While warm melodic progressions ride the saturated organs, Karen Marie Ørsted’s unmistakable vocals beautifully combine with the French producers creation. Turn it up and tune out.
